CRPEG Bulletin: Update on CIRB hearing on the MSA

Tuesday (April 7th) concluded the Canada Industrial Relation Board (CIRB) hearing on essential services, with the Company and PIPSC lawyers presenting their concluding arguments.  In her closing remarks, the Chair of the CIRB panel acknowledged the need for an expedited ruling on this matter, andwill endeavour to try to bring us a decision by the end of April.

CRPEG expects to be able to reach agreement on the Maintenance of Services Agreement (MSA) shortly after the CIRB has declared its ruling.  We have already begun discussions with the Company to schedule dates at the beginning of May to resolve the MSA, in anticipation of the CIRB ruling in April.
